Residency Programs

Musical Theatre

Our Musical Theatre Residencies are immersive 10–12 week programs where students bring a full production to life. Participants rehearse and perform a selected title from our season while building confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills in a supportive environment.

Program Highlights:

  • Open to students in grades 2–12

  • Auditions held at the start to assign roles

  • Training in dance, drama, voice, and costume design

  • Collaborative, team-focused rehearsal process

  • Culminates in a live performance for the community

Designed to foster teamwork and artistic growth, this residency gives every student a chance to shine—on stage and behind the scenes.

Dance

Our Dance Residencies are immersive 10–12 week programs where students develop technique, confidence, and performance skills within a focused dance style. Each residency is tailored to the needs of the school or organization, creating a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Program Highlights:

  • Open to students in grades 2–12

  • School/organization selects the dance style: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, African, or Salsa/Ballroom dance styles

  • Focused training in technique, movement quality, and performance

  • Emphasis on teamwork, dedication, and discipline

  • Culminates in a live performance or presentation

Designed to build strong technical foundations while encouraging self-expression, this residency supports students in growing both as dancers and as a collaborative ensemble.

Young Choreographer’s Program

Our Young Choreographers Program is an immersive 10–12 week residency designed for students to explore leadership through dance-making. This student-led experience empowers participants to create, develop, and produce original choreography while gaining hands-on insight into the full creative process.

Program Highlights:

  • Open to students in grades 8–12

  • Ideal for schools with an existing dance club or those looking to start one

  • Student-led choreographic process from concept to performance

  • Training in choreography development, staging, and artistic direction

  • Students lead auditions, rehearsals, and cast their own work

  • Hands-on experience with lighting and costume decision-making

  • Meets a minimum of 2 times per week

  • Each student choreographer is mentored by a live.LIVE Arts Teaching Artist

  • Culminates in a live performance
